Hello!
My name is Grace, and welcome to my page, The Grounded Virgo. I have been writing for almost a decade, and it all started from a joke (I'll get to that in a bit). I am a fiction writer with the common theme of mental illness in all my novels. My books aim to bring awareness to these illnesses, give hope to those with a mental illness, and start conversations on these matters to stop the stigma.

Why The Mental Illness Theme?
I am someone who lives with anxiety; for twelve years now. During those first few years, I was in high school, and mental illness wasn't spoken about. If it was, it was mainly judgments, ridicule, and lack of understanding. I felt weak because of my illness and lost because I knew nothing about it or how to deal with it. As I've gotten older and learned about anxiety, learned about my anxiety, things have gotten easier. I'm no longer ashamed of it and embrace it. I introduce myself with my anxiety. I have accepted this part of me, and in doing so, it has made me "get a grip" on it, so to speak. I want to inspire others to embrace their illness, let them know they're not alone and give them hope that they can get through the hard times. I always say those with mental illnesses are the strongest because we are always facing new challenges each day and overcoming them.
It All Started From A Joke
The night that changed my life for the better is one I still laugh at. In a group chat with friends, I was joking around, saying it would be hilarious if I were the CEO of a company and my friends were all working with me. I joked about them bringing me hot tea while I spun in the big leather office chair, with the New York skyline behind me through the glass walls... which turned into dialogue...and triggers...and, well, a whole plot! That's when my first book, The CEO, was born.
